Photos that work best
Clear, close photos with the face looking toward the camera. Photos from an iPhone or Android phone work as they are.
The pictures in your book are drawn from your photos, so a good photo makes a better likeness.
What helps
- A clear, sharp photo. A blurry photo gives a less accurate face.
- A close photo. If the face is small in the picture, a closer photo works better.
- The face looking toward the camera, with the head fairly straight.
- One person per photo for a character. If a photo has several people, we cannot always tell which one you mean.
- Good light. Daylight is best. Hats, sunglasses and hands over the face hide details.
Phones
Photos from an iPhone or an Android phone work as they are. You do not need to convert, resize or edit them.
If we cannot find a face
If we cannot see a face clearly, we tell you which photo and why, and we suggest what to add. Nothing is charged while a picture cannot start. See Why a picture did not come out as expected.
