Why a picture did not come out as expected
Every reason we can give you for a picture that was not made, in plain words, and what to do next.
When a picture cannot be made, the page tells you why and gives you something that works. Nothing is charged for a picture we could not make. These are the reasons, one by one.
Illustrations are paused for a short time
Our picture service is not answering right now. Your book is safe. We tell you here as soon as you can continue.
This part of the story is more feeling than picture
There is no single moment to paint yet. Choose a scene we suggest, write your own, or use a photo of a real moment.
We could not use this photo
We could not read the photo or place it on the page. Choose a different photo.
The picture did not match the scene you confirmed
We did not keep it. Try again, or change the scene.
Choose who is in your scene photo
Your photo shows a different number of people than the characters you chose. Choose exactly the people in the photo, one character for each person.
We could not keep your photo exactly
The picture added or moved people, so we did not keep it. Your photo is never edited. Try again, or choose a different photo.
We could not see a person clearly
The photo does not show a face we can paint from. Add a clearer photo, closer and facing the camera. See Photos that work best.
This did not look enough like the person
We did not keep it. Try again, or edit the scene. If the closest attempt is offered, you can keep it, and that uses one free version.
A face kept landing where your story text goes
Three times a face fell inside the area kept for the text. Put the text on the other side and try again. See Choose the text side.
The picture had a drawing fault
It had a fault we do not accept (hands, faces or words drawn wrongly), so we did not keep it.
The image service declined this scene
It refused something in the description. Reword the scene and remove anything violent or unsafe.
Something went wrong on our side
We have been told. Try again in a few minutes, or contact support.
